Air Duct & Dryer Vent CleaningWelcome to Air Duct Pros, Inc. The Air Duct Cleaning Professionals

Since 2005 Air Duct Pros has provided the highest quality air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning services to over five thousand homeowners in Maryland. Located in Baltimore we are small family owned and operated and are CRMR certified by the American Council for Accredited Certification and Mold Remediation Supervisor Certified by ESA. Our only business is air duct cleaning and we take what we do very serious. Unlike others, we do not employ part-time carpet cleaners, chimney cleaners or gutter cleaners. Our employees are thoroughly trained in the most up to date and effective source removal* cleaning methods in the industry.

How do I know if my duct work needs cleaning?

  • If you don’t remember ever having your ductwork cleaned or if you haven’t within the past 5 years, it’s probably time. If your ductwork has been cleaned in the past, you will typically find access panels installed on the supply and return main lines near the furnace.
  • Remove a vent cover – ones on the floor or near the floor are easiest to remove (often no screws) and look inside with a flashlight – check several areas for a representative sample.
  • Do people in the house suffer from allergies, asthma, or other respiratory problems?
  • Do you experience nausea, headaches, itchy eyes, etc. while at home?
  • Do you have pets in the home and/or excessive dust on furniture and horizontal surfaces
  •

  • If I answered yes….

    • Never cleaning your ductwork is like changing your oil filter without changing your oil. I’m sure you change you furnace filter often – what about everything leading to the furnace filter?
    • Your ductwork can become an unknown breeding ground for fungi, germs, and mold.
    • The Environmental Protection Agency claims that indoor air has been found up to 70 times more polluted than outdoor air. We spend 60% to 90% of our time indoors.
    • Better Health Magazine states “1 out of 6 people who suffer from allergies do so as a direct result of the fungi and bacteria in the air duct systems.”
    • All Air Duct Cleaning Companies are NOT the Same!

Why Should You Get Your Air Ducts Cleaned? Answer:  Because they get dirty!

1. Do You SPECIALIZE in Air Duct Cleaning and use proper equipment?

Watch out for, “ We specialize in a lot of things... carpet cleaning, chimney sweeping or heating and cooling!” What they really mean is - “No we don’t.”, Air Duct Pros, Inc. focuses only on Air Duct Cleaning and uses a two man crew run by the owner and we use the Nikro #HP20 because it is more powerful than an electric powered unit and offers more mobility than traditional truck and trailer-mounted units.

2.
Is the PRICE your quoting really the total price and is there any guarantee?
Beware of Bait and Switch Companies!

The Price
Never choose a company solely for being the lowest or best priced. Professional duct cleaning is not cheap. All of our prices have no hidden charges and are flat rates based on the number of systems you have.

Blow and Go Companies

These are companies that have put a black mark on legitimate professional air duct cleaners. Blow and Go stands for just that...Companies that are Blow and Go are mostly all sub-contracted.  Most of the time they won't tell you the truth so you'll need to use your own judgment when they arrive. Look at the uniform (if they even have one), company truck (some even use cars or minivans, which should be a red flag).  Look to see if anything they have besides invoices are from the company you called.  Your best bet?? Stick with a company that offers NO CONTRACTORS and stay away form low price duct cleaners trying to lure you in.

(If you have knowledge of a practicing “blow-and-go” air duct cleaner, contact your local Better Business Bureau to report the company, and your local, federal, and state elected officials to demand legislation.) visit http://www.airductpros.net/baitandswitch.html for more information

We have an A+ Rating as an Accredited business on the BBB and have won Angie's List Super Service Awards for 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and we are CRMR certified and have been a BBB A+ Accredited business since 10-25-2006

Trust Air Duct Pros, Inc.

Research is crucial when looking for a reliable duct cleaning company, we recommend you start your research with the Better Business Bureau. There you will find that we have an A+ rating and a BBB accreditation to back up all of the services we perform.

Do you provide a WRITTEN GUARANTEE?

A written “Service Guarantee” spelling out what you can expect from the company before, during and after the job is complete. Demand a written list that you can use to check their work and be assured your investment is protected.  Air Duct Pros, Inc. has a 30 day guarantee on all work unless otherwise stated.

4. Do you use the correct Air Duct Cleaning Process?

Some of our competitors claim, “We don’t cut into your system!”

Do you have to cut into my ductwork? Answer: Yes

Think of it this way ... if you want to paint a room, you have to go inside the room to do it. If you want to clean ductwork properly, you have to be able to access the inside of it to do that. Cutting an access hole to attach the vacuum hose then working everything to that one connection point is more efficient than going from vent to vent with the vacuum hose, that method will not get all the debris, and may stir up irritants that could come back into your home when the system is turned back on. Any access opening made in your ductwork should be sealed in a manner that returns the ductwork to the same condition.

. (Note that your HVAC system includes a supply side and a return side—the first being ducts that send treated air into the rooms of the house, and the second being ducts that return air to the air handler. The supply side and return side are separate parts of your home’s duct system, and the cleaning process must be performed on each.)

Q: Is Sanitizer Necessary to Duct Cleaning?

Sanitizer is not always recommended for application in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and you should beware of companies automatically included this service in a regular cleaning.

We use EnviroCon which is Specific to the HVAC industry, and is highly effective in eliminating odor-causing microorganisms as well as those associated with mold, mildew and bacterial growth.
